The Anambra State Government has concluded plans to employ 3,540 men for its Police-Community Vigilance Services to beef-up security in various communities in the state.
The Special Adviser to Anambra State Government on Security Matters, Col. George Molokwu (retd.), disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday in Onitsha, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
He said each of the 177 communities in the state would have 20 newly-recruited vigilant personnel from the 3,540.
Molokwu said that this was in addition to the vigilance service operatives already existing in each community in the state.
