The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Efiok Cobham on Monday signed the 2013 budgets tagged ‘Budget of Delivery’ in Calabar, the state capital.
The budget size which now stands at N152,418,731,311.73k as against the N151,376,66,780.78k which was presented to the house by Governor Liyel Imoke, shows a marginal increase to the sum of N1,42,664,530.78k.
Speaking shortly after signing the appropriation bill, Mr Cobham disclosed that the “Budget of Delivery” was initially presented by Governor Imoke and affirmed the government’s commitment to all projects.
He also assured that all projects would be completed before the end of their tenure.
“We promise to ensure that the state sustains its culture of transparency and accountability in public finance administration to shore up confidence from donor partners.” This he said while stressing the need to reposition Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) in line with current realities.
