'Plateau Crisis Must End Now' – Mark

Senate President, David Mark, on Monday said the time had come to bring the Plateau crisis to an end.

Speaking during a condolence visit to Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, at the Government House, Rayfield, Jos, the Senate president said the crisis had gone on for too long and had to be borught to an end immediately.

Spekaing against the backdrop of Sunday’s murder of the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Gyand Dantong, and the Majority Leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Gyang Fulani, by Fulani militants in Maseh near Jos, Mark said the crisis could only be resolved through dialogue.

“The deaths of Dantong and Fulani are unfortunate and regrettable and we only hope that with their deaths, the crisis in the state has reached its peak and must come to an end,” he said.
