PDP Is Dead In Osun – ACN 4 years ago 1

Following the recent defection of no fewer than 500 stalwarts of the  Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)  to the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in some parts of Osun  State. The  state chapter of the ACN has stated that the main opposition political party, the PDP was dead in the state.

The ACN Chairman in the state, Elder Adelowo Adebiyi gave the hint yesterday through the party’s Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Barrister  Kunle Oyatomi. He said that the recent defection of PDP members in both Olaoluwa and Boripe Local Government Areas of the state was enough to announce the death of the PDP in the state.

The ACN boss further stated that less than a week after an array of PDP members in Olorunda Local Government Area of the state defected to the ruling ACN, hundreds of PDP members in both Boripe and Olaoluwa Local Government Areas of the state  again defected massively to the ACN.

Elder Adebiyi who  explained that the development was a proof of the acceptability of the ACN government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, noted that the defection of the PDP members in the three council areas had shown that the PDP had lost its grip in the state.

Reacting to the Statement, the State chapter of the PDP said that it was not true and described the ACN as master of propaganda, saying that the ruling ACN government had failed the people of the state and was now looking for ways and tricks to woo them back.

The State PDP spoke through its Director, Publicity and Research, Prince Diran Odeyemi  who stressed that the defectors were sets of people who are looking for what to eat, stating that they are not known to the PDP in the State. Home Page
