Abubakar Bukola Sariki Football Club (ABS) caretaker manager, Kabir Sulaiman Dogo has said his wards will not surrender to city rivals, Kwara United.

Both sides go head-to-head on Matchday 25 at the llorin Township Stadium after sharing the points in the first fixture at ABS.

Dogo will miss the tie due to lectures at the Win-in-Africa-with-Africa (WIAWA) coaching course in Abuja.

He told that his side’s dominance over the Afonja Warriors in the top flight will continue.

"Last season we beat Kwara United home and away. We want to maintain the record this season.

"Even though we split points in the first fixture on our ground, we still have the edge over them.

"We don’t consider the state FA Cup final victory over us a big deal, we wanted to play in the final.

"But in the league we want to keep our superiority by beating hands down. We’ve not done well since the start of second stanza. The players know what is at stake, as the three points will push us up a bit on the log.

ABS are just above the drop zone and last weekend went down 1-3 at home to Sharks but Dogo is upbeat that his wards will escape relegation.

"We’ll escape relegation, the management is doing their best to motivate the players and I believe they will respond by going for points.

"Nobody is happy at the position of the team, it behoves on us to save the team.

ABS are on 27 points from a possible 69. Home Page
