Having returned to the state last Friday with no official broadcast or reaction over his controversial absence, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu state is likely to resume official duties on Tuesday.
His extreme calmness and quietness since his return after spending 140 days outside his state for medical treatment has generated great concern amongst well-meaning Enugu residents.
The Governor upon arrival at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu merely waved at the mammoth crowd that had gathered to welcome him.
At the Government House, it was almost the same show as Chime did not also address the people of the state, neither did he make a state broadcast or issue a media statement since then.
However, a member of the Enugu state House of Assembly revealed on Monday that once the House gets a letter informing it of the Governor’s return, he would be cleared to resume work.
