In an announcement issued to international media on Wednesday, Iran’s state press office said that the Iranian military has developed new “super advanced” stealth fighter jet “cloudy” paint “capable of evading radars”.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, while presenting the first battle aircraft Iran has built since “Azarakhsh” in 2007, told viewers in a ceremony on state television that the Qaher F313 clouded paint job is “among the most advanced fighter jet stealth body solutions in the world.”
“This pattern composed of white clouds on a blue sky is a fully indigenous aircraft layout designed and hand-painted by our aerospace experts. This is a radar-evading plane body solution that can blend in nicely with its surroundings, provided that the weather is clear with lots of white clouds. Also, it is much more stealth if flown during daytime,” Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on state TV.
“What is so genius about this paint job is that it is done with great attention to detail, in order to make it look exactly like the sky itself, so it can engage enemy aircrafts while going totally undetected,” the Defense Minister added. Mr. Vahidi added that the aircraft, now Iran’s stealthiest, employs advanced materials. The Iranian government’s claims cannot be verified because Tehran refuses to release any technical details about what kind of color it used to paint the sky and the cute, fluffy little clouds. The Iranian Defense Minister explained that they are so pleased with the results of the new stealth layout that they’ve already started coming up with solutions about how they could make their rockets, submarines, ships and tanks stealth using the same formula.
“We initially wanted to go with a whale layout for our submarines but after engaging in a more detailed discussion we eventually agreed to make them look more like oil spills because whales can’t be found everywhere. Rockets will definitely be painted to look like giant birds, while tanks are obviously the most complicated because they can go anywhere,” Mr. Vahidi said.
