Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has vowed to score another ‘wonder goal’ in the Italian Cup final following his magnificent strike in SS Lazio's 3-1 away win over San Siro giants Inter Milan on Wednesday night in a Serie A game.
Onazi replaced Cristian Ledesma in the 60th minute and scored in the 77th minute to record his first Serie A goal that will remain ever-green in the memory of most Lazio fans who took to tweeter to celebrate him.
And speaking with Lazio Channel after the game, the 20-year-old said:
"I thank God for the goal and this is kind of things that I‘ve been practicing in training. Our next game, which ‘ll be a derby in the Italian Cup final will be a crucial match and I hope to repeat a goal like that, I'll try, " he enthused.
The former My People FC player who was part of the Super Eagles squad that conquered the continent during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa found the top right-hand corner with a superb 30-yard free-kick to help his side back to sixth on the table and a chance to win a place in the Europa League with two games to play.
In all, he had 77% pass accuracy from 18 touches, committed one foul, and completed two tackles.
