Todd Johnson of White Plains, New York, doesn’t understand all of the “hoopla” surrounding the new policy of the Boy Scouts of America to now admit Homosexual boys.
Todd, who is sixteen and openly gay himself said, “I don’t know any self-respecting homosexual who would join the boy scouts! They’re much too gay for me.”
In order to increase the rapidly declining membership, the Boy Scouts of America, recently announced that they are considering ending the policy of only admitting heterosexuals and extend membership to homosexual boys. Spokesman Hank Blumenthal said, “They times are changing, and we should change with the times.”
Johnson believes that the Boy Scouts have long maintained an unspoken “Don’t ask, don’t tell,” policy. “I went to one meeting before I came out, the scarfs, the badges they’re gayer than the audience at a Bette Midler concert!” said Johnson. Cosmo Miranda, long time scout leader with Boy Scout troop 458, located in Akron, Ohio disapproves of the new policy. “I’ve watched this boys grow over the years. I watched them in the all-boys pool, in their tight, little “Speedo” suits. I’ve watched them in the locker room, having naked towel fights.
And I must admit that I’ve loved every minute. I shudder to think would happen to those boys, who I’ve been a second father, big brother and special uncle to, if they are in the presence of deviant behavior.” Blumenthal understands Miranda’s fear, “Cosmo is ‘old school’. But he has to realize that the good old days are gone.
Do you know how much trouble that I would get into if I spanked one of their little naked bottoms? But that’s life. We must grow with the times.”
