Taliban soldier Abdul Salam Ahmadulah, who was killed last year by a shot fired from a helicopter by the British Prince Harry, has been teased for months by his slain friends for being murdered “by Harry, of all other possible soldiers”, The Global Edition has discovered.
Abdul says that his friends did not tease him as much in the first couple of weeks of his death, but that the jokes began as soon as word got around about who was in the helicopter that fired the fatal shot.
“The teasing was just beginning to let up a little when the BBC ran an interview with Harry yesterday, and then they became annoying again with the ‘you loser, prince fancy pants killed you’ jokes,” Abdul explained.
He says that his buddy Malavi, who was killed three months ago just outside of Kabul by a marine from Alabama, has been the most brutal and relentless in making fun of him. “Malavi always says ‘imagine that, being killed by a dude who plays polo,’” complained the dead Taliban. “Or he’ll say ‘imagine being shot by the man whose butt was seen all across the globe”, Abdul said. He explained that wherever he goes, everyone starts laughing and pointing, saying that he “better watch out or he might be hit with a cup of tea by some Prince”.
”I almost believed that my friend Naim would comfort me, when he in all seriousness said that it wasn’t so bad. Then he started shrieking with laughter, saying that it could have been worse, that I could’ve been killed by the Queen.” “If they keep doing this, I’ll kill myself,” Abdul said.
