Uduaghan Mourns Ovie Whiskey

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has described the late Pa Victor Ovie-hiskey as an upright man whose diligence and dedication to duty as a judicial officer led to his appointment as the chief judge of the defunct Bendel State and chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO).

In a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sunny Ogefere, the governor said though it was sad that Pa Ovie-Whiskey passed on, there was every reason to give thanks to God because the jurist lived a fulfilled life.

“We have lost a patriot, an elder statesman, a quintessential professional and above all, a pride of Delta State whose exit would be felt”, he said. He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
