Fighting Obas: Ogun Lifts Suspensions On Akamo, Akinremi

Abeoukuta — Ogun State Government, weekend, said it had lifted the suspensions placed on the embattled Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Akorede Akamo, and the Baale of Lapeleke, Chief Adisa Akinremi.

It was said in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, that the decision followed the recommendations of the administrative inquiry set up in October 2012 on the conduct of the two traditional rulers that necessitated their suspensions.

It would be recalled that the two traditional rulers threw the caution into the wind at Itori Police Station following a disagreement over chieftaincy tittles and engaged in fisticuff.
