Member, representing Akoko Southwest/Akoko Southeast Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, on Wednesday, distributed empowerment materials valued at N30m to his people in his constituency.
Ologunagba said on the occasion that his intention was to alleviate poverty among the people of the constituency.
The items distributed to the people included cars, motor cycles, deep freezer, hair dryer, generators, grinding machines, and money.
The federal lawmaker also on Wednesday, inaugurated three boreholes for the use of the people of the constituency.
He told his people at Iwaro-Oka, Akoko South-West Local Government of the state, that the gesture was meant to economically empower the people of the area.
The lawmaker added that the gesture was in line with the ideology of the state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
He said Mimiko had created the platform to get rid of poverty in the state.
He said, “My gesture is also in fulfillment of my electioneering campaign to touch the lives of the people and contribute to their economic independence.”
