A woman is accused of posing as a nurse and assaulting a patient at a children's hospital.
Ashley Delvalle, 24, allegedly walked into patients' rooms at St. Christopher's Hospital, Philadelphia, on Tuesday, telling parents that she was a nurse assigned to perform examinations.
Police in Pennsylvania say Delvalle weighed one child, and inappropriately touched another child. In the second case, Delvalle allegedly told the boy's mother that she was checking him for bed bugs.
The boy's mother apparently did not believe Delvalle, and contacted hospital security.
Delvalle is neither an employee of St. Christopher's, nor a registered nurse.
Her neighbor, Esther Harley, told WPVI that she doesn't believe the allegations. "She's not that type of person," Harley said.
Delvalle's charges include simple assault, indecent assault and impersonating the holder of a professional license.
