Oscar Sees A Brighter Future

Oscar is confident that Chelsea can end the current campaign on a high and perform even better in 2013/14.

Oscar Sees A Brighter Future

The Brazilian playmaker was among those drafted in to Stamford Bridge last summer, and has endured a baptism of fire during his first year in English football.

The 21-year-old has, however, settled quickly to Premier League life, with concerns over his slight frame and quiet nature quickly put to one side.

Oscar admits it has been a season of transition at Chelsea, with new players and new managers introduced along the way, but he is convinced that a bright future awaits the Blues.

He told the Daily Mirror: "This has been a settling-in year. We are so young and this is our first season together so we are still getting to know each other. I hope we can continue to do that next season.

"It will be an even stronger connection. We're great together, but we will get better.

"This year has been very different for me. I've played over 50 games already and I wouldn't do that in a whole year in Brazil.

"But you just have to get over it. I am tired and rest when I can, but I have to get over it and carry on.

"It's all about helping my team. I want to win championships and titles. People ask me to choose but I'd prefer to win the lot, to win both cups and be in the top four. That's what we're trying to do.

"We have to finish in the top four. We want to be in the Champions League next season. That is the mark of a top club. But we want to win the FA Cup and Europa League as well. They are just as important. You have to want them all."
