Shooting Stars Sports Club Team Manager Aijbade Babalade has lamented the Ibadan club’s 2-0 defeat Kano Pillars in their league game in Kano on Thursday.
The former Super Eagles defender regretted 3SC’s inability to convert their chances in the encounter, saying the team deserved a point for their effort.
“We failed because we could not convert the chances we created,” the Senegal ’92 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medallist told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday.
“We were busy doing the playing, while our opponents were doing the scoring.”
However, Babalade was optimistic that the team would take their revenge in the return leg in Ibadan.
He said the team would to claim full points against the Wilkki Tourists of Bauchi on Sunday in Ibadan.
According to him, 3SC are determined to clinch a ticket to play in either the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
