With speculation increasing that the 34-year-old will not be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge, the Blues captain has called for the club to honour his team-mate.
Chelsea defender John Terry has called on the club to retire Frank Lampard's No.8 shirt in honour of the midfielder, with speculation mounting he is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
The club captain was speaking via his personal Webstagram account in which he described himself as being "devastated".
Terry wrote: "Devastated is an understatement. We should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps."
