NO fewer than 36 drug suspects have been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NLDEA), Bauchi State command. The state Commander, Parah Julius Bawa, who disclosed this yesterday at a press briefing with journalists in his office, said the suspects were arrested between the months of January and March this year.
He disclosed that while 11 of the suspects had been convicted, 22 others were being prosecuted at the Federal High Court for drug related offences. He said three suspects were counselled and released.
According to Bawa, two other suspects have been arrested for selling codeine and Indian hemp following a tip off from members of the public.
