Bomb explosion has hit Agangara beer market in Badawa area of Kano metropolis.
This is coming barely 24 hours after two coordinated bomb attacks which targeted the offices of two major telecoms providers Airtel and MTN at the Malam Kato Square area of the ancient city.
The JTF spokesman, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, confirmed the incident, but however, said nobody was injured.
Residents say the bomb, which was kept inside a carton, went off at about 7:45 this evening.
But Captain Ikedichi Iweha said it was a small can of Improvised Explosive Devise (IED), which was planted near a local drinking parlour in Badawa that exploded around 7:20 pm.
“It was a small IED that was planted at the local drinking parlour and it did not kill or injure anybody,’’ he said.
Patrons of the joint immediately took to their heels and abandoned the premises.
Meanwhile, the JTF have cordoned off the area.
