The Kebbi State Government said it will utilise the Petroleum Subsidy Re-investment Fund to create 3,000 jobs.
The Chairman of the fund’s implementation committee, Alhaji Samaila Halliru, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.
He noted that degree and diploma holders would be trained to set up their businesses.
Halliru said the National Directorate of Employment would conduct the training and that each participant would be paid N10,000 as training allowance.
An unemployed graduate, one Malam Sidi said the training would greatly alleviate the suffering of the unemployed: "We hope that after the training funds and equipment would be provided to enable them settle down," he said.
