Gunmen kidnap four Koreans, two Nigerians

Suspected gunmen on Monday invaded Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, kidnapping six workers of Chinese-owned Hyundai Heavy Industries Construction Yard.

The company’s office is located between Odioma and Okpoama, both in Brass Local Government Area.

The Sun checks indicated that four of the kidnapped workers are Koreans, while two of them are Nigerians.

The Hyundai Heavy Industry Construction Yard was initiated by the administration of former Governor Timipre Sylva as part of efforts to create employment in the state.

Sylva’s successor, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson, has promised to complete the project.
