Police Appoints New Commissioner Of Police For 16 States

The Inspector- General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has ordered the immediate redeployment of 33 senior Police Officers to various Commands and Formations of the Force across the country.

The deployment, which affected 16 state police commands, was part of on-going efforts to reposition the Force for greater efficiency according to the police.

A statement by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba in Abuja on Wednesday  said that the redeployment affected newly promoted officers and other senior personnel, adding that it was meant to inject fresh ideas into the system.

Some of the officers are Commissioner of Police Sabo Ringim who was transferred to Kebbi; Musa Daura, Kano; Moses Saba- Ndagi, Ebonyi; Johnson Ogunsakin, Kwara; Titus Ibititituwa, Enugu and Hilary Opara, Kogi State.

Others include Jubril Adeniji, Taraba State; Mohammed Indabawa, Oyo; Mohammed Katsina, Imo; Usman Abubakar, Abia; Olufemi Ogunbayode, FCT; Dorothy Gimba, Osun; Foluso Adebanjo, Edo; K. Shodipo, Cross River; Patrick Deydokumor, Ondo and Joseph Mbu who was moved to Rivers from Oyo State.
