The England midfielder has not played since October when he limped out of their 2-1 Champions League loss at Shakhtar Donetsk after just 18 minutes.
But he returned to training on Tuesday, meaning he could be included in Rafa Benitez's squad for their crucial clash with FC Nordsjaelland.
Whilst Lampard returned, there was no Daniel Sturridge or captain John Terry.
Sturridge has been sidelined for over two weeks with a hamstring problem, whilst Terry has been out with the knee injury he picked up against Liverpool in early November.
Rafa Benitez is expected to confirm at a press conference on Tuesday if Lampard, Terry or Sturridge will be involved - and Sky Sports will bring you all the details of that as soon as it happens.
