Sambo Urges Saudi Arabia To Invest In Nigeria 4 years ago 9

Vice President Namadi Sambo on Wednesday called on Saudi Arabian investors to come and tap the various investment opportunities in Nigeria.

Sambo made the call when he received in audience the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdul-Aziz Ibn Abdullah.

He stated that the investment opportunities were in the areas of power supply, transportation, oil and gas, agriculture and solid minerals.

Sambo observed that the Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government had a robust plan for the rapid development of Nigeria.

He noted that Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had a long standing relationship, which had spanned several years.

“The relationship between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria has been a very old one, however, there is the need to further enhance this relationship and strengthen it so that at this present moment we can add value to the socio economic status of our countries.

“I will seize this opportunity to invite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to come and join hands with Nigeria to support our Transformation Agenda. We have in our Agenda a robust plan for the development in this country.”

He also expressed the hope that their visit would be beneficial to the two countries.

Present at the event were the Minister of Defence, Dr Bello Haliru Mohammed, Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Alhaji Musa Sada, Minister of State Foreign Affairs II, Dr. Nurudeen Muhammed, as well of the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Yarima Lawal Ngama. Home Page
