Six persons were reportedly said to have been killed yesterday around Evrweni axis of Ughelli North, Delta state during a fatal motor accident of a head on collision.
The reports said the victims were confirmed dead on the spot in the accident that drew sympathizers to the scene in tears.
It was gathered that the victims were passengers in a Volkswagen Audi 80 car involving a Toyota Hiace bus that both collided on head on at about 4:30pm.
The Volkswagen Audi 80 the reports further indicated with registration No. UGH 800 AA, Delta was said to have been heading to Yenagoa while the bus with registration number its way from port-Harcourt when the accident occurred.
Eyewitness said the victims included the driver of the Audi 80 car including four other occupants while the only survivor was seriously injured and had been taken to Ughelli Central Hospital for medical attention.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were reportedly said to have been seen at the accident scene assisting in evacuating the corpses from the Audi 80 to the Ughelli central hospital mortuary.
The officials our source said however blamed the accident on both drivers adding that cases of accidents in the recent times indicated drivers at fault as a result of over speeding.
