Victims of the flood disaster in Rivers State have appealed to the Federal and Rivers State governments for financial assistance to rebuild their homes that were washed away by the flood.
Some of them who spoke to Vanguard, yesterday, at a camp in Okobe community, Ahoada West Local Government Area, said they were yet to move out of the camp after it was shut on Sunday.
The Camp Coordinator, Pastor Chibuzor Okpoko told Vanguard, that he got instruction to shut the camp on Sunday. He said after he announced the closure of the camp on Sunday, most of the displaced victims were yet to go back home as at yesterday.
He said they had come to complain to him that they had nowhere to relocate to. He enjoined the Federal and Rivers State governments to assist the victims with money to rebuild their houses.
