The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Ibrahim, confirmed the incident.

"It was unfortunate that the DPO Ganye District reported to us that there was an incident in his domain which resulted in a dispute between farmers and herdsmen which claimed the life of a farmer and a subsequent reprisal attack which resulted to the death of three Fulani residents," he said.
