Osun Declares New Hijirah Year Holiday

Osun state Governor Rauf Aregbesola has declared today the first day of Hijrah calendar as holiday in the state.

Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the state, Akirogun Sunday Akere while announcing the decision of the state government yesterday said “the state government has resolved that the first day of the Hijrah New Year Calendar will henceforth be observed as a public holiday in the state in a bid to promote religious harmony.
