Elegushi Beach Competition sets off

In honor of the first Oba of Elegushi, Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, the Tug of War Beach Championship is set to commence this afternoon, at the Elegushi Beach in Eti Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State.

The tournament which would take course over a 2 day period would comprise of a total of 10 states including Akwa Ibom and Edo State while other teams vary from other groups such as the Nigerian Police Force and even one of Lagos’ transport service, LAGBUS. 

The President of the Tug of War Nigeria Federation, Anthony Oyetayo, at a press briefing held at the Elegushi Palace, stated that the main goal of the Championship was not only just to raise awareness for the Federation but to also immortalize the late royal father, Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, whose contributions to humanity remain monumental.

Mr Oyetayo praised the royal family further for endorsing the idea of holding a competition in honour of the late Oba. He went on further promising all participants an unforgettable experience at the event.
