The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Lawrence Erudjakpor, spoke while responding to criticisms that the administration of Governor Seriake Dickson, had spent much money on security.

Our correspondent gathered that the governor had invested N262m in the construction of a security post and an Integrated Security Control Centre in the Government House, Yenagoa.

While the security post at the main gate of the Government House gulped N62m, the ongoing construction of ISCC building was valued at N200m.

The ISCC, our correspondent gathered, was designed with a situation room, where the governor could stay to monitor ongoing activities in the state.

Meanwhile, the state Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson, on Wednesday returned to the state after a two-week vacation.

Dickson returned shortly after his deputy, Rear Admiral John Jonah(retd), presented the one-year scorecard of the administration, saying the government had embarked on 17 key projects.

Dickson, who arrived at 3pm, inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigerian police attached to Government House, Yenagoa.

Having rested for two weeks, the governor said he was “prepared more than ever to carry on the business of governance”,

He also thanked members of the restoration team particularly his team for being in charge of the state whole he was on vacation.
