Police Probe Enugu Doctor’s Kidnap

The Police in Enugu State on Wednesday said it had commenced investigations into the kidnap of Dr. O.W Madike, the Medical Director and proprietor of Almond Hospital, located at 3 Metu Street, Achara Layout, Enugu.

Three men and a woman abducted Madike, a surgeon, in his hospital on Tuesday, at about 6pm.

According to an eyewitness account, the abductors laid siege at the hospital environment and abducted their victim, putting him in a navy blue Toyota Camry and then drove off.

The source said, “Following this, the operatives of the anti-kidnap unit of the police and other security units of the police were immediately alerted.”

Meanwhile, more than 24 hours after the Director of Degree Programmes at the Federal College of Education, Technical, Omoku, Mr. I.F. Nyanabor, was taken away by suspected kidnappers, his whereabouts still remained unknown.

Nyanabor was abducted at his residence in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State around 7.45am on Tuesday by gunmen.
