Don’t Relent On Your Efforts To Service, Mimiko Tells Public Officers

Barely four months to the expiration of the first term of Dr Olusegun Mimiko as Ondo State Governor, the Governor has charged all political office holders in the state to continue to intensify efforts towards achieving more result-oriented programmes.

Mimiko urged them not to relent in their efforts to quality service delivery as more grounds are yet to be covered before the February 24 swearing-in for his second term in office.

The governor stated this on Monday while receiving members of the forum of Chairmen of Boards and Parastatals of the state government led by Chief Dele Awosika, who were in the Governor’s office to congratulate him on his victory in the October 20 gubernatorial election.

Mimiko thanked the forum for revolutionalizing government’s agencies for effective service delivery to the people.

He also assured that his administration would continue to build more mega schools at the primary and secondary levels, stressing that he would continue to work harder to bring more development to the nooks and crannies of the State.

Mimiko said: “It is obvious that our parastatals in the last three and half years have all come alive. The success of this administration to some extent has been attributed to your commitment to efficient service delivery to our people. I want to implore you all not to relax in your service to our people”.

“The present administration is not over yet and our people are still expecting more dividends of democracy from us. We have a lot to do in education and as a matter of fact, many of our mega schools are ready for commissioning.” Mimiko said.

The Chairman of the forum and Chairman of the Ondo State Property Development Corporation (OSDPC), Chief Dele Awosika in his remarks appreciated the Governor for his quality leadership and tireless efforts to develop the State.

He assured the governor of more cooperation and support from the forum as he sets to begin another four years in office.
