HotSports brings London Olympics to Nigerians 4 years ago 1

WITH the kick-off date of the London 2012 Olympics drawing close, sports media marketing and production company, HotSports Nigeria Limited, in conjunction with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), has concluded plans to bring all the exciting moments of what has become the world’s foremost sports fiesta to Nigerians.

As a prelude to the competition, which begins on July 27 in London, HotSports will be hitting the airwaves with a countdown programme on the Olympics, titled, HotSports Highway to London 2012, a 30-minute package on television designed to reach millions of sports fans with interesting features to sensitize them on the Olympics.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of HotSports, Taye Ige, the programme will consist of thrilling segments such as The World Stage, which focuses on the countries that have dominated the Olympics and their preparation for London 2012.

Others are Yesterday’s Legacy, a special look at past Olympics heroes and symbols the Games’ spirit, and Stars of the Moment, a segment that showcases major stars that would dominate this year’s Olympics.

There are also such other segments as Team Nigeria, which beams searchlight on the country’s team and its preparation for the Olympics, with special interviews with athletes, coaches and officials, and Olympics Quiz Games – an interactive part where viewers will participate via a social network devoted to the programme.
