Nigeria National League side, 36 Lions of Lagos scored another first among their peers in the lower league when they formally signed a pact with Turkish second division side, Sekerspor FC to annually transfer at least two of their players to the European nation.
Team manager of the NNL side, Hasan Egilmez said it was a tasking process but was thrilled to broker the partnership between the two clubs for the advancement of Nigerian players and the second division side.
Egilmez who is aTurkish citizen stated that he was also thrilled that all the hard work and the sleepless nights put into the whole process paid off at the end of the day.
"I am happy to inform you that we have signed a player’s exchange pact with 36 Lions of Lagos and Sekerspor FC which is a second division club in Turkey. It was agreed that a minimum of two players from 36 Lions will be signed annually from the club.
"It was a laborious effort that is worth all the sacrifices made for it. Sekerspor FC have already asked us to send five of our players for the option of a contract before the end of next year," Egilmez informed Goal.com.
The Chairman of 36 Lions of Lagos Gafar Liameed while expressing his gratitude over the deal opined:"[We are] delighted to announce the long awaited collaboration between Sekerspor Football Club, a Turkish division two team that has signed and agreed to transfer minimum of two players annually from 36 Lion FC .
