Osinbajo meets with Dangote, Emir Sanusi, others, following keynote address at FT Africa Summit

- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has met with various prominent Nigerians, following his keynote address at the FT Africa Summit holding in London

- Amongst those Osinbajo met with are Aliko Dangote, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, HRH Sanusi Lamido, Emir of Kano; and minister of information, Lai Mohammed

- During his keynote speech earlier, Osinbajo stated that the Buhari government has invested more into infrastructural development in 2017, than any previous government did at other times in the nation’s history

- The vice president also held a discussion with the Financial Times editor, Lionel Barber, about the Boko Haram insurgency

Following his keynote speech at the Financial Times Africa Summit taking place in London, UK, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has met with prominent Nigerians including Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido; Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki; and minister of information, Lai Mohammed.

The development was made public via the vice president's twitter handle, @ProfOsinbajo.

Prof. Osinbajo arrived in London for the summit on Saturday, October 7; and during his keynote speech on Monday, October 9, he called for more private sector investment in the Nigerian economy.

Osinbajo stated that even though Nigeria is currently earning 60% less revenue than it did 5 years ago, it invested N1.3 trillion in infrastructural development in 2017; the largest capital expenditure in the nation’s history.

According to Osinbajo, this shows that you can do more with less when there is good governance and prudent management of resources.
