- A brother to the governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong, has been buried
- Tsemba Bako was buried in Shendam local government area of the state
- Those who attended his funeral include the governors of Borno, Sokoto and Kano state
On Saturday, October 7, the younger brother to the Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong was buried in Shendam local government area of the state.
Tsemba Wummen Bako funeral was graced by many dignitaries including the governors of Borno, Sokoto and Kano states; Kashim Shettima, Aminu Tambuwal and Umar Ganduje.
The governors led by Shettima of Borno state represented all the governors of the 36 states across Nigeria.
Speaking during the burial ceremony, Governor Shettima said, Tsemba was a brother who had a paragon of humility and commitment.
Commiserating with the Lalong family, Shettima said the deceased lived an exemplary life during his 46 years of existence on earth.
He said: "We want to commiserate with the Bako Lalong family, and the Ajikamai community over the loss of an illustrious son who lived for only 46 years. But as captured by the elder brother, he lived such an exemplary intense committed life that even people who lived for the ripe old age of 96 could not have accomplished, but he was able to do in his eventful 46 years of existence here on earth.
We want to once again thank the people of Plateau, the people of Ajikamai for the wonderful hospitality showered on us, and may his soul rest in peace," Shettima said.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Plateau state governor lost his younger brother after an illness.
Before his death Tsemba was a lecturer at the department of management sciences, University of Jos.
He is survived by his wife and children.
