- Pastor Emmanuel Awojide, vice president of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, says God is not happy with the situation of Nigeria
- Awojide warns against restructuring of the country saying God knows why Nigeria is in this condition
- He says the level of corruption in the country is worse than in the days of the biblical Noah
The vice president of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), Pastor Emmanuel Awojide, is warning Nigerian leaders that God does not want the country restructured.
Awojide declared that God will be very angry with Nigerians and could send calamity upon them if they go ahead to restructure the country.
The Nation reports the man of God as saying that God put the country in its present circumstance and knows why He did so.
“No one should divide what God has joined together for peace and love,” he said.
Awojide also kicked against killings in some parts of the country as a result of agitations and other issues like bombings and kidnappings saying they are not godly.
NAIJ.com learnt that the clergyman spoke with journalists in Kaduna shortly after a sermon.
He declared that corruption in Nigeria has swallowed how it happened in the days of biblical Noah where God punished the corrupt and washed them off with flood.
He warned that many would not escape in Nigeria if God decides to visit his anger on the people.
“On restructuring, I want to disagree with those calling for the restructuring of the country because it is not the wish of God for the country to go in different directions.
“We must stay together because God will be angry with Nigerian leaders if they allow the country to be divided.
“It is against the wish of God for the country to be divided,” he said while assuring Nigerians that the 2019 election would be peaceful.
“But as men of God we will continue to pray against evil, and we believe that God mercy will come upon the country and the people. Therefore we must respond to God’s hand of mercy to avoid evils.
“Nigeria and Nigerians are religious, but are yet to be Godly because there is so much killings and destructions in the land.

“Corrupt Nigerians must repent or else the wrath of God and the law of the land will catch up with them.
“But ungodly people will perish eventually in hell fire, and Godly people will make heaven,” he added.
The issue of restructuring had generated varied opinions in the country recently.
NAIJ.com recently reported that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, spoke in support of restructuring while top elders from the north gave conditions to allow the country restructure.
