Ogun Accord Party acting chairman defects to APGA

- A former acting chairman of the Accord Party, in Ogun state, Adeyemi Alli, accuses Doyin Okupe and others of sidelining him

- He says the injustices in the party pushed him and other members to make arrangements to join APGA

- Okupe has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately summon an emergency council of state meeting over the security situation in the southeast

The acting chairman of the Accord Party (AP) in Ogun state, Adeyemi Alli, has defected to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), following a fallout with Doyin Okupe and other members of the party.

Alli, according to Daily Post, announced his defection on Sunday, September 17, on a radio programme in Abeokuta.

The former acting chairman accused Okupe and others who just joined AP of sidelining him.

Alli said the injustices in the party pushed him and other members to make arrangements to join APGA.

In another news report, Doyin Okupe has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately summon an emergency council of state meeting over the security situation in the southeast.

Okupe, reacting to the ongoing military exercise in the region, tagged Operation Python Dance II, described the situation in the southeast as frightening.

The former presidential aide in a statement on his site, DoyinOkupe.com on Thursday, September 14, warned that the situation in the southeast may not end well if some actions are not taken to prevent further spread of anxiety, anger and danger.
