Appeal committee panel: Anambra APC youths condemn Tony Nwoye's actions

- The echoes from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Anambra state are still loud

- Reactions and counter reactions continue to trail the election

- The APC youths in the state have taken the declared winner of the election, Tony Nwoye, to the cleaners

APC youths in Anambra state have cautioned the declared winner of the party governorship primaries, Honorable Tony Nwoye, against justifying impunity.

In a press statement sent to Legit.ng on Thursday, September 14, the youths frowned at the conduct of Nwoye since the party's appeal panel committee was set up.

They accused Nwoye of importing the impunity he was known for in the Peoples Democratic Party into the APC.

Part of the statement read: “It has come to our notice the recent desperate efforts by Tony Nwoye, who has taken to both the traditional and the social media to spew lies and justify impunity.

“We are not surprised by his present mendacity because he is really finding it difficult to import his well known PDP impunity into the APC. Therefore, he has resorted to building castles of lies and provocations by using the names of highly placed and respectable people as the foundation for this tragic adventure.

“He is unscrupulously using the names of decent people to enlarge the frontiers of fraud, which will never be allowed to stand in an idealist party as APC, where change from evil to good, is not just a mantra but a way of life.”

The youths accuse Nwoye of dragging the names of influential people in Anambra state to justify his recent victory in the party's governorship primary.

The also accused the House of Representatives member of conjuring every manner of falsehood against members of the APC National Working Committee, in the attempt to blackmail and manipulate them.

“It is shocking to find out that nothing is sacred to Tony Nwoye, not even accusing the NWC members of collecting 150 million Naira bribe.

“But we ask; who gave the bribe and who collected it? He won't give names because there are no names. The master fabricator is doing what he does best, which is fabricating falsehood with alarming speed.

“It is highly demeaning to malign the integrity of respectable men and women, just in the pursuit of vaulting ambitions. How far can Tony Nwoye go to consolidate an open fraud?

“How far would he go to tarnish the reputation of respectable people just because of ambition? Does he consider his ambition to govern Anambra state, by all means, more important than the integrity of APC and its members?. Time will tell,” the youths added.

Meanwhile, Senator Andy Uba has denied the report of an online publication linking him to an alleged attempt to pressure the APC National Working Committee to overturn the results of the recently held Anambra governorship primary election.

In a statement sent to Legit.ng by his media aide, Dr O. Okeke, Senator Uba stated that he has always been driven by an honest desire to serve and to impact positively on the lives of the people.

He stated that the attempts to spread fallacious misinformation in order to demean him and other well respected members of the party should at all times be discouraged, adding that some people are well known for perfecting the art of blackmail.
