- The governors, who met in Oyo, are also demanding for restructuring of the country
As governors in the southern part of Nigeria met in Ibadan, Oyo, to discuss the state of the nation, some groups took a protest to the venue of the meeting demanding that the region should break away from Nigeria.
Many of the protesters were armed with placards with inscriptions supporting the creation of an Oduduwa Republic which would take care of all the states in the southwest.
It is not known how the protesters were addressed, but NAIJ.com reported that the governors demanded for restructuring of the country.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that amid agitation for Biafra Republic in the southeast, a southwest group, the Yoruba Liberation Command (YOLICOM), declared secession from Nigeria.
