Let us remember Buhari in our prayers - Tinubu urges Nigerians in his Sallah message
- APC chief, Bola Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to remember President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration in prayers
- He said this in his Sallah message to felicitate with Muslims on the celebration of the 2017 Eid-el-Kabir
- He called on Muslims to submit to the will of Allah which is the reason for the celebration of Eid
As Muslims across the world mark the 2017 Eid-el-Kabir, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has called for prayers for Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to him, the Buhari-led administration is committed to moving Nigeria forward and it must accomplish this for everyone’s benefit, The Nation reports.
In his Sallah message, he called on Nigerians to pray for the president so he can accomplish his mission of taking Nigeria out of the woods to greater heights.

He said: “Today is Eid-el-Kabir. I congratulate Muslims in Nigeria and across the world for this festival.
“Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated his submission to Almighty Allah as exemplified by his readiness to sacrifice his only son. This is reason we celebrate the Eid.
“To mark the Eid faithfully, we must celebrate it in the same spirit of submission to the will of Allah that prophet Ibrahim showed.
“This is what the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told us to do. This is what we as Muslims must do and do without fail.
“Our devotion to Allah must manifest itself in how we treat our fellow man. If we are truly devoted to the will of Allah, then we must also be devoted to the wellIbeing of our neighbour.”
The APC chief said the occasion calls for peace, compassion, justice and tolerance.

Tinubu said that Nigerians need to work and strive for the betterment of community and country and also adhere to noble causes that are greater than self-interests.
“It is these traits that must order our daily lives and our relationship with one another.
“May Almighty Allah accept all our devotion and take it as an act of Ibadah,” he added.
Legit.ng earlier reported that President Buhari felicitated with Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithfuls on the Eid-El- celebrations.
In a statement on Thursday, August 31, by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari expressed gratitude to Nigerians for praying for his recovery prior to his return from the UK where he had been on treatment.
He said his administration will continue work relentlessly to ensure that Nigeria becomes the dream country of every citizen.
