- Solar eclipse will be the first in 99 years to cross the US from coast to coast
- Pastor Paul Begley claims the eclipse could fulfill Bible prophecy of apocalypse
- He says 2017 will mark the beginning of the Tribulation
A US pastor has claimed that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017, could potentially fulfill the Bible's prophecy of an apocalypse and the second coming of Christ.
The eclipse turned out to be the first in 99 years to cross the United States from coast to coast.

Writing in Unsealed.org under the headline "The Great American Eclipse", Pastor Paul Begley said the rare event could be a warning from God based on the book of Joel.
The prophecy in the book states: “The sun shall be turned to darkness before the Day of the Lord come.”
Begley said the eclipse could mark the beginning of the Tribulation, which refers to a period of unprecedented conflict and human suffering said to typify the end of times.
However, another commentator, Jeremiah Jacques, is not fully convinced. He said: “For untold centuries, individuals have endeavored to predict the future by reading their own meaning into Bible scriptures—but with an abysmal track record.”
Meanwhile, some people claim that the image of 'Jesus Christ' appeared on a wall in an Ikorodu church. Watch video below:
