Buhari provides proof of his meeting with Ojukwu

President Muhammadu Buhari has posted a video footage of his 2003 meeting with former Biafran warlord, Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, sequel to his broadcast in which he said Nigeria must remain a united country.

Legit.ng recalls that President Buhari had in a broadcast on Monday, August 21, said every Nigerian had the right to live and pursue business anywhere in Nigeria without hindrance.
The president also recalled how in 2003, he hosted the late ex-Biafra warlord, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu at his Daura country home where both of them had resolved that Nigeria must remain an indissoluble entity.
He said: “In 2003 after I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in my hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analyzed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country must remain one and united.
“Nigeria’s unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddle others with the responsibility of bringing back order, if necessary with their blood.”

The president has posted a clip of that meeting with Ojukwu via his official Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, Mr Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, has said that those groups calling for the disintegration of Nigeria are only wasting their time as “Nigeria remains one.’
Adesina stated this on Tuesday, August 22, in Abuja while receiving a coalition of south-east youths group who stormed the Aso Rock Villa gate to declare support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
The presidential aide also described as untrue and false the insinuation by some mischief makers that the south east region was not in support of President Buhari’s administration.
