These are the 20 local government areas in Lagos state

Lagos state, one of the smallest states in Nigeria is located at the south-west part of the country and happens to be one of the most populated in the country.

Lagos state is divided into 2; mainland and the Island and it has 20 local government areas.

The state, currently under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, has about 9,013,534 people, according to the 2006 national census.
