APC chieftain advises Buhari to return to London for treatment

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Charles Udeogaranya, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to return to London to seek further medical treatment.

Udeogaranya gave the advice when commenting on the Monday, August 21, early morning broadcast of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vanguard reports.

The party chieftain who is also a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming election said the broadcast had proved that the president was not incapacitated as rumoured by some persons.

Udeogaranya described the return of the president to the country as a thing of great joy.

He, however, stated that it would be better for the president to seek further medical attention in London to prevent any mishap from occurring.

He said: “Left for me, I would advise President Buhari to return back to London as soon as possible, where he can have access to a better healthcare facility.

“All these voices that chanted return, return, return, would be the first to laugh at him, if any mishap befalls him, but God forbid, as his well-being is critically necessary to the nation.”

Meanwhile, Femi Adesina who is the special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity has said that he will return to London for medical treatment if need be.

The president returned to the country on Saturday, August 19, after spending more than 100 days in London for medical treatment.

Adesina in an interview on Channels TV on Monday, August 21, while responding to a question about whether Buhari will return to London or not, said he will if need be.

He however said he hopes the president’s worst days are over and he would be healthy enough to govern the country.
