Nigeria police nabs Indian in Kano for allegedly repackaging expired medicines

- The Indian, whose name was not given, was arrested by the police in Kano state

- The officers who arrested him also discovered the house where he kept the expired products

- The Nigerian law sees such a case as criminal

The Nigeria police in Kano state have announced the arrest of an Indian and some of his alleged accomplice for reportedly carrying out criminal repackaging of expired dr*gs.

Channels Television reports that the man, whose name was not given, was allegedly caught rebranding and storing expired dr*gs.

The man allegedly packed the medicaments inside hundreds of cartons and stored them in a house in the Nassarawa GRA axis of the state.

The National Agency for Food and Dr*g Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is in charge of regulations relating to such issues in Nigeria.

However, there had been complaints from Nigerians that the agency has not done much recently.
