Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the opposition party will continue to pray that President Muhammadu Buhari remains alive till 2019.
According to reports, Makarfi made his comments while speaking at the ongoing PDP National Non-Elective Convention in Abuja, on Saturday August 12.
While acknowledging that the hopes of Nigerians were dashed by the ruling party, the PDP leader stated that if given another chance, the party was ready to make amends.
He stated: “We will continue to pray for the president.
"God will keep him alive till 2019 so he would witness his removal from power because Nigerians are already tired of this change.
“We are not perfect and we would always learn from our mistake. We know Nigerians are missing us and we would always carry them along when we return in 2019.”
