- Following the attack the prize amount given to UNN's best graduating student, Nigerians had a lot to say
- Most of their comments were that education wasn't valued in the Nigerian society
- Comedian Seyi Law reacted to the comments on social media
NAIJ.com earlier reported how a best graduating student received N10,000 as prize from her students union. Many people picked on the act saying Nigerians had misplaced priorities as BBNaija winners got better cash prizes after the show. Nigerian top comedian has weighed in on the debate and made a direct comparison with BBNaija's winner, Efe prize of N25M
According to the comedian, comparing a small union to a big time profit-making reality shows is baseless. The N10k award was given to the best graduating student from a small union in the school meaning that students donated to gather the sum.
For Big Brother Naija however, which is what most Nigerians are using as their defense, it is a money making business explained by Seyi Law.
Seyi also proffered a solution and asked Nigerians to act instead of commenting on what they think is wrong with the educational system of Nigeria.
