BREAKING: Northern youths in meeting with Ndigbo in Kano over quit notice

- A group of northern youths met with Igbo representatives

- The groups met to discuss the quit notice issued to Igbos living in the north

Northern youths, including members of the Arewa Youth Coalition Forum (AYCF) met with representatives of Igbos in the north in Kano state on Friday, August 4.

Channels Television reports that the groups reportedly met to discuss the controversial quit notice issued to people of Igbos extraction living in the northern.

Recall that NAIJ.com earlier reported that members of the AYCF, sent a letter demanding that all Igbos living in the north depart the region before October 1.

The meeting in Kano, to resolve the controversy stirred by the infamous letter, is coming less than twenty four hours after the AYCF chairman, Shettima Yerima, insisted that the quit notice still stands.

Yerima, however said the group will continue to consult the people of north-central and north-east to determine if they should reconsider their position.

Meanwhile, the Igbo People’s Congress (IPC), and the Igbo Aborigines have lambasted former Abia state Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu over what they called his self-induced romance and talk with the Arewa youths coalition.
