Osun state governor Rauf Aregbesola loses mum

- Mother of Osun state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Saratu Aregbesola, is dead

- Governor Aregbesola's close associate has confiremed the death

- The governor, who was away in Birni Kebbi, Kebbi state for the All Progressive Congress (APC) governors’ meeting also confirmed it thrugh his Twitter handle

Nairaland reports Mother of Osun state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Saratu Aregbesola died in Ilesa, her hometown, in the early hours in the early hours of Tuesday, August 1.

PREMIUM TIMES also reports that a close associate of the governor confirmed the death.

Legit.ng gathered that the governor, who is away in Birni Kebbi, Kebbi state for the APC governors’ meeting, appeared to confirm the story when he said on his Twitter handle @raufaregbesola that “inna lillahi wa inna inayhi raji’un''.

The above is an Islamic statement said after a calamity such as death that means ''from God we come ‎and to him we shall return.''

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Emir Abubakar Waziri, a first-class traditional ruler and emir of Deba in Gombe state was dead.

The 79-year-old old emir who is a retired army colonel died at the Nizamiye hospital in Abuja on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
